If you're worried about the weather this weekend there is still a lot you can do at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
"It's fortunate that worlds largest livestock show and the worlds greatest rodeo are both indoors", says President and CEO Joel Cowley.
With scattered showers folks came prepared, wearing their cowboy hats and also carrying umbrellas.
"I think the first year she had a bag over her head, the second year we bought our hats and this year we have umbrellas", says Lamar Nevels. He came out to the carnival Friday nights with his wife and daughter. The group wanted to check out the rides and food, before heading indoors to see Alicia Keys.
"So the first time I wasn't prepared and every time after that I've said okay we need our big giant umbrellas so we can get prepared, we can get where we need to be to get it if the rain so we can stay dry and still enjoy the event because I'm still going to come", says Jamila Nevels.
For those that. Want to stay indoors, there's a list of things you can do. Cowley says, "in NRG Center there is obviously the livestock show, there is shopping, food, there are great educational displays, atNRG Arenathe horse show is going on and shopping and food and inside the stadium are great rodeo acts and wonderful entertainers as well".
Just remember to check the forecast before you go. "We still have crowdsourcing that show up to enjoy the things we have indoors and it's interesting because they will run outside, ride the carnival rides when it clears up and then run back in should it happen to rain again", says Cowley.
