HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Firefighters have recovered a body from a car that was submerged in a roadside bayou at 19300 Westheimer Parkway in West Houston.
The fatal crash was discovered around 8:30 a.m. Houston police say the man was driving when his car left the roadway and landed upside down in the bayou.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer D. Rodriguez reported:
The victim was driving a black Toyota Corolla eastbound at the above address when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway, rolled over and landed upside down in a bayou. The victim was found deceased in the Toyota once it had been removed from the water. There are no known witnesses and it has not been determined when the crash occurred.
No identifiable information was gathered related to the body found near George Bush Park on Westheimer Parkway. The investigation is continuing.
