3 Cypress Fairbanks students charged with kidnapping classmate

- Three Cypress Fairbanks ISD students are arrested and charged with kidnapping a fellow student from school, and investigators say the abduction was caught on camera.

The three Cypress Springs High School students are being charged as adults with aggravated kidnapping for allegedly abducting a girl, one of their schoolmates, as she simply walked to class.

"I heard they were laughing and giggling walking toward the car.  They were playing, like they were not serious,” says Cypress Springs student Lariah Fuqua.

That isn’t the case.  The videotape actually shows a 17-year-old Cypress Springs High School student walking in the hall after leaving lunch, and according to Cy Fair ISD Police investigators 18-year-old Justin Broadway allegedly grabs her hand from behind.  She attempts to pull away but officers say she was pulled down the hallway, down a stairwell and then forced out the door into a car.  Three other students are also seen on camera getting into the car.  One student was then dropped off at his house and is not charged.

However, Broadway and Imanuel Rizig, 17, and Ryan Jeng, 17, are all charged with aggravated kidnapping after allegedly taking the girl to Jeng’s Katy, Texas home about a mile from the school. That was where the girl says she was taken to a bedroom with Broadway and asked if she would have sex.  She says she said “no" and she was allowed to leave a short time later.

Police say one teen says the intent was for the entire group to have sex with the girl.

According to police, Broadway told them the girl willingly left with him after he talked with her at lunchtime about having sex, but investigators say in the surveillance video the teens are never seen talking with the girl.

"It’s shocking.  It’s shocking.  I’m a senior at Cy Springs.  I wouldn’t really expect that at my school.  It’s embarrassing and we already have a bad title.  It’s very sad to hear that,” says student Esdras Mendez.

Police say a classroom full of students reported seeing out the window last Monday a girl appearing to be taken against her will.  Officers say the boys did not know the girl.  They simply knew of her as a fellow schoolmate.

The three teens are each being held on a $30,000 bond.
