HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Thousands of students at ITT's two Houston campuses are wondering what to do next. Hundreds of employees are now without a job.
The U.S. Department of Education is sponsoring a series of national webinars for all ITT students to share information and address students' questions and concerns.
The webinars scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m., 12 noon, and 2 p.m. Eastern time
The U.S. Department of Education is investigating ITT for an irregularity in its recruiting and accounting procedures. The Department of Education ordered ITT to pay back the government $152 to cover student refunds. ITT says those actions were unwarranted; the company couldn't pay those millions, and would have to shut down.
Many community colleges, are working with students to make the transfer.
