19-year-old woman struck by hit and run driver in northwest Houston

"I was scared I was just really scared," said 19-year-old Precious Moore.
Moore says she's been walking to work for months now.

"I count 3 to 4 seconds before I go to make sure nobody hits me," Moore said.
But that's exactly what happened to the teenager around 10 Wednesday morning.

"They were speeding coming down the street about to go straight in the left hand lane," Moore said. "I was crossing over into the left hand lane."
Moore says she landed on the hood of the white four door sedan traveling down Tidwell.

"This lady had jumped out of her car and she called 911 and she screamed for the construction people to come over and help," said Moore.

"I was so in shock that I ran down 4 flights of stairs in less than a minute," said Precious's mother Sandra Moore.

After learning of the accident Sandra Moore says she rushed to the hospital to find her youngest daughter with some serious injuries.

Luckily no bones were broken but one of her legs is twisted and she will have to see an orthopedic specialist to determine her future prognosis.

"You know who you are I don't want you to go to jail I understand you did what you did but if you could just come forward," Sandra Moore said. "If you have insurance that would be a blessing so my daughter can get medical care because her open enrollment does t start until September.
