Open Carry dispute at Waller County courthouse

- A large group of people demanded answers from the Waller County District Attorney's Office after they were told they could not bring guns into the county courthouse.

Slightly less than 100 people, some packing their heat, converged on the Waller County Courthouse on Friday afternoon. They were supporting the Open Carry law, led by Texas Carry leader Terry Holcomb.  He was sued by the Waller County Disitrict Attorney's Office after Holcomb served notice to the county saying they are violating Texas Open Carry law by not allowing firearms in the courthouse.

Sean Whittmore with the district attorney's office says the legislature made it clear in 2003 that firearms are not allowed on courthouse premises. There's no word when the lawsuit against Holcomb will be heard.
