18-wheeler loses 1500 gallons of fuel in morning spill

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Around 3:30am an 18 wheeler tanker was arriving at the Shell Gas Station to deliver fuel.  The driver attempted to go around the back side of the building but it was too small of an area and he ended up scrapping the side of the attached Burger King building causing the tank to rupture and 1500 gallons of unleaded fuel leaked out of a 3400 gallon tank.  HFD Hazmat is on scene. Willowbend is closed both directions and S. Post Oak is closed northbound.  It will be like this for several hours while they do the clean up and while the off load the remaining fuel.
