Candlelight vigil commemorates death of Martin Luther King Jr.

-
For 48 years, the Black Heritage Society has organized the "Dreams on Fire" vigil to celebrate the life, death, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speeches and prayers were presented by leaders of the black community at the MLK plaza.

They also called attention to issues that effect the black community like gun violence. Donations were also accepted for the people of Flint, Michigan. Performers danced into the night and the evening ended with a candlelight vigil.
