(FOX NEWS) - Ryan Weldon left Delaware on foot last February, and now he has wound up in San Francisco.
That’s because the Marine Corps veteran has just walked an astonishing 5,000 miles across the country – all in the hopes of raising awareness for PTSD.
For Weldon, a South Carolina native, the 400-day journey started after he got tired of hearing about the high rate of veteran suicides.
“Twenty-two veterans a day take their own life due to post-traumatic stress,” he said. “As a Marine, I refuse to sit by and do nothing.”
Weldon started a GoFundMe page to raise money for the PTSD Survivors of America organization.
