SPLENDORA, Texas (FOX 26) - A Montgomery County resident is on trial for a drunk driving vehicle crash that claimed the lives of a married couple. Alejandro Guzman Lopez, 24, is accused of driving while intoxicated in May 2015 which caused the deadly crash in Splendora.
While behind the wheel, prosecutors say Lopez slammed his vehicle into a car carrying newlyweds Brad and Shea Frazier, who were both 21 years old. Their two children were also in the vehicle but they survived.
Guzman-Lopez faces two counts of intoxication manslaughter and accident involving death. The trial is expected to last until at least Wednesday.
