BARC, the City of Houston’s Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, will offer $10 microchipping for pets as part of National Pet I.D. Week.
"Microchips are a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to keep your pet safe and secure if they get out, because they can easily be used to identify pets and their owners," said BARC outreach manager Jennifer Barrera Wandrey. "Every pet should have one.”
BARC will be selling microchips for $10 from April 14 until April 21 at the BARC wellness clinic located on 3200 Carr Street, Houston, TX 77026. The clinic will be open from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Additional services are available during regular scheduled clinic hours on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information about the services, please contact 311.
