BakerRipley offering free tax filing help for some in Houston

- Many consumers forfeit some of their yearly tax refund when they pay someone to do their taxes. But why pay, when there are people who will do it for free?

Most programs require household yearly incomes to be less than $58,000.  Some are geared for the elderly population.

Some need an appointment, others you can just walk in.

FOX 26 Consumer Reporter Emily Akin visited the Neighborhood Tax Center -- one of many run by BakerRipley.
