Men who smoke and have performed oral sex with five or more partners have the greatest risk for head and neck cancer. 15 percent of men in this category contact oral human papillomavirus. One in nine American men will contract HPV.
What's not killing you?
Breast cancer is not causing death in women at the levels to which it once did. Physicians are referring to it as "the Angelina Jolie effect," since the actress' public revelation about a preventative double mastectomy in 2013. More women are undergoing genetic testing.
Jolie spoke openly about being genetically predisposed to increased risks of breast and ovarian cancer. Doctors say her decision increased awareness and they observed an almost immediate spike in the amount of women coming in for early screenings.
