Kroger issues recall for potentially undercooked shrimp

The Kroger Co. has issued a recall notice for shrimp that may be undercooked. The company used the following language in its statement:

Due to a potential health hazard, Customers who purchased any of the item(s) below should not eat the product. The product may be under-cooked, which could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens. Please return the product to this store for a full refund.

The following shrimp products are affected by the Dec. 26 recall:


Affected consumers may contact the Aqua Star Consumer Hotline at 1-800-232-6280.

The products were sold in Kroger, King Soopers, Fry's, and Smith's stores in central and northwest Ohio, the northwestern Virginia panhandle, and Michigan.
