HOUSTON (FOX 26)
Why climb 48 flights of stairs in downtown Houston? For a greater purpose, of course! Supporters of the American Lung Association will gather at First City Tower on Saturday, Feb. 20 to ascend 1,062 steps.
The American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb will begin at 8 a.m. with registration starting at 7 a.m. at the building on 1001 Fannin Street. Registration costs $35 for each participant. To register for the event online, visit http://action.lung.org/site/PageNavigator/FFA_splash.html
"This is truly a remarkable experience for both running and fitness enthusiasts, as well as our participants that are suffering from a lung disease," said Michelle Stoddard, executive director of the American Lung Association in Houston. "And is a reminder that no one should have to fight for air on a daily basis."
The American Lung Association of Houston 2016 Fight for Air Climb is sponsored by Texas Children's Hospital, Kindred Hospital Town and Country, the John P. McGovern Foundation and First Medical Respond.
