Deputies investigate animal cruelty, larceny case in Union County

The Union County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help regarding an animal cruelty and larceny case involving two dogs.

According to the sheriff's office, on October 10 two dogs were reported stolen from the 6600 block of Morgan Mill Road near Justin Braswell Road.

The two dogs were found three days later within a mile of their home. One of the dogs, a German Shepard, was found with a gunshot wound, and had to be put down, authorities said.

The other dog, a pit bull, is home safe.
