A menu that serves 'The General Public'

The General Public, which opened in August on Sorella Court at the CITYCENTRE retail and restaurant complex in west Houston, is described on its website as "a spirited neighborhood restaurant and bar committed to wholesome food and warm hospitality."

With help from FOX 26 News contributor Cleverley Stone, The General Public owner and co-founder Kyle Noonan demonstrates how to prepare Pork & Greens, a house specialty item made with braised kale with bacon aioli and crumbled cornbread.

Other popular menu items include the best-selling Birthday Cake Slice, Burrata, Hush Puppies, Shrimp & Avocado Salad, Bacon Burger, Fish & Chips, Crispy Quail & Hot Cakes.
