HOUSTON (FOX 26) — Jeremy "Goob" Howard has worn Astros gear everyday since the summer before they won the World Series, but he's been a fan much longer. From birth until he started school, Goob rarely missed a game with his grandparents.
For Goob and his son, 'Lil Goob,' baseball is about people. During the World Series run, Goob met Nguyen Le.
"I really had prayed God would make me a yes guy. Say yes to somethig different than me, especially a person different than I am. Nguyen and I are very different. Our common bond is the Astros.
They started the "Greatest Stranger" movement with the goal of making a difference one relationship at a time.
"Baseball is all about relationships. It's just a vehicle to do life with people."
