The salad is one of the first course options available as part of the Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner menu at Helen in the Heights. The Greek restaurant is also offering a Houston Restaurant Weeks lunch menu. Houston Restaurant Weeks is an annual volunteer-driven charitable event that directly benefits the Houston Food Bank.

McGonigel's Mucky Duck has been operating in Houston for 30 years, featuring live entertainment every night and pub-style dining. The venue will offer festive St. Patrick's Day food, drinks and entertainment all day on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17.
Visitors can expect corned beef and cabbage, bagpipe music, Irish dancers, faeries and children's activities.

What is the origin of po' boys in Houston? Luke Mandola Sr. founded the original Ragin' Cajun on 4302 Richmond Avenue in 1974. The original location remains in addition to the restaurant's second site on Westheimer Road near South Gessner Road.
