3 dead in wrong-way crash in northwest Harris County

Three people are dead after a driver was traveling the wrong way in northwest Harris County Saturday morning.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 2 a.m. when a man was driving southbound in a northbound lane on Highway 249 near Hollister.

Authorities say the driver of a white Chevrolet Impala ran a red light and crashed head-on with the other vehicle.

The two people inside the other car were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Impala was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
