HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man on North Freeway Monday, police say.
The incdent occurred at 5300 North Freeway at around 9:25 p.m.
The suspect, Shelia Bruner, 49, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say the victim, Jeffrey Conway, 51, was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.
"Mr. Conway was washing windows on the corner of the North Freeway and Tidwell when he was approached by two females, including suspect Bruner, who produced a knife and stabbed him in the eye," Detectives R. Gonzales and A. Le reported in a statement. "Conway then produced his own knife and stabbed Bruner in return. Both individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment and Bruner was subsequently arrested and charged in this incident."
