Director, male lead talk 'When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story'

When I say the name Tasha Smith it may not ring a bell, but when I say Tasha Smith plays Cookie Lyon's sister Carol on Empire, now I think you have it. Well, Tasha Smith has just directed a movie called “When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story”. It's the real life story of a 16-year-old stripper prostitute who murders three men in Atlanta and is now serving life in prison. Smith directs the movie which airs August 28 on TV One.  The actress turned director says she can relate to Falicia Blakely because she once lived that same lifestyle. I interviewed Smith and the male lead Lance Gross in New Orleans for the Factor.
