The 5th annual Go DJ Awards took place on Monday, Jan. 28, at the AD Players at the George Theater. The event honored DJs, producers and emerging artists. The award show began in 2008 when Go DJ Hi-C took notice that not many people from the Houston area were being recognized for all of their hard work and their contribution to the music sector, so he decided to start his own award show. The Go DJ movement now has over 250 DJs throughout the U.S.
