Jonathan Martin co-anchors FOX 26 News at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. with Kaitlin Monte.
Jonathan joined the FOX 26 team in May 2016. Previously, he was based in New Orleans as a national television correspondent. He's also worked at the NBC affiliate in Nashville, Tenn. and the CBS affiliate in Augusta, Ga. Jonathan started his career as an intern and field producer at WSB-TV in Atlanta.
He is a four-time Emmy nominee, and has received several Associated Press honors for his work.
Jonathan loves to travel, and his career has taken him across the U.S. He's covered the Charleston church shooting, the unrest in Ferguson and immigration issues along the Mexican border. He's also enjoyed interviewing entertainers like Taylor Swift, Barbara Mandrell and John Rich.
His most memorable interview was with the 'Godfather of Soul' James Brown. Jonathan was the last journalist to interview the legendary entertainer before his death in 2006.
Jonathan is a strong mentoring advocate. For years, he's worked closely with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He's also served on advisory boards for All the Kings Men, Inc. and Just Us Girls, Inc.
A former athlete, Jonathan is a fitness enthusiast. When he's not working, you'll often find him in the gym or playing sports.
